The Maoists all set to sack ‘Chief of Army’

rookmangud-katawalRecently, Baburam Bhattarai of the Maoist party has said in a public appearance that they are all set to sack the Army Chief of the Nepal Army. He has been issued a notion by the Defense Ministry to submit his clarification within 24 hours or else he would be fired from the post of Army Chief and even after submission of his clarification if unsatisfied he would still be fired. Which means the Maoists have already decided to sack him either way. This also takes the Maoists a step ahead in their mission to capture the state cause till date the Nepal Army was the only independent institution untouched by the political parties which is now under attack by the Maoists. With such an influence in the Nepal Army by the Maoists, it would not be surprising if they bring their own commanders to lead the Nepal Army which is their real intention. Today it is Mr. Rookmangad Katawal, tomorrow it will be another general and another yet another until the whole institution will be their (Maoist) army.
