Nepal’s prestige is in danger, How to save ?
by: DIRGHA RAJ PRASAI
A country’s existence and prestige can gradually be eroded by finishing off its faith and belief tradition and culture traditional faith and cultural beliefs. After the movement of April 2005, the corrupt leaders of the so-called seven parties at the hint of foreigners are working to disintegrate the country. No country in the world can always bear the interference and the meddling of foreigners. But this country has seen sudden increase of foreign interference and meddling in the last one-and-a-half-years because of the leaders, who are willing to sell themselves and the country situation has turned appalling because of unprecedented level of corruption, mis-management and chaos. Girija Prasad of Nepali Congress, Madhav Nepal (most opportunist) of UML and Prachanda of the Maoist are fascinated into breaking the country by taking personal vendetta against the king and putting false and made-up traps one after the other.
Some sold up professors, former corrupt officials in the government, money-minded doctors and lawyers and some vagabond journalists in the name of civil society are adding fuel to their deceptive design. They do not have any loyalty and principle and they reach to where they can get profit. Nepal cannot remain safe until some reactionaries of the so-called civil society and the agents of RAW within the political parties are exposed and punished. Ninety-five percent of those traitors are Bahuns. Nepal has great faith on the United Nations. But its like Ian Martin like representatives who tagged along those traitors made the United Nations a total failure in Nepal. Therefore, such representatives of the UN should be chased away before it is too late.
In 1974, the political parties of Sikkim had alienated its king from the country’s sovereignty and a year later the Sikkim’s parliament allowed that country to be merged with India. In the same way, the Indian intelligence agency, RAW is trying to gobble up Nepal by using the leaders, who have put themselves ‘for sale’, and putting an ambush of the constituent assembly elections. From the very beginning, Indians had been disparaging Nepal to become a failed state by not allowing the industries to operate here. First, it used the Maoists to sow the seed of partitioning of the country by raising the issue of ethnic autonomy and right to self-determination of the Terai. Now, it has propped up its agents to push up federal ethnic autonomy to break up the country. Hasn’t this country been pushed to the brink of disintegration by going for republic and adopting secularism and federal ethnic states without considering the country’s geo-political situation and ethnic diversity? Leaders of the parties here and the RAW have the same attitude and mindset to sink this country. SD Muni, the strategist of RAW had given the 12-point anti-Nepal agendas- of republic, secularism and federal states to the perverted leaders of the parties and a few lawyers, doctors, journalists to end the existence of Nepal.
In the context of the secularism it might be mentioned that in Maldives and Saudi Arabia only Muslims can become citizens of those country. Even in Israel, except a few exceptions, only Jews can become its citizens. In Pakistan, a Hindu cannot vote for Muslim candidate. Why can’t our strayed leaders learn from other countries ? Out of 199 countries around the works, more than 100 are non-secular countries and of them more than 100 are Muslim and Christian non-secular countries. If Israel is the only Jewish country in the world, Nepal also should remain the only Hindu country. Nepal despite being a Hindu is the most liberal and tolerant non-secular country in the world. One simple example is the Mosques in front of the Royal Palace.
America is a non-secular country, still no other Christian except Catholic, or Jews can become president. In America, the president and the Chief Justice take oath by putting their hands on Bible and not on the constitution. The churches there take interest in politics and education and spend billions of dollars in spreading Christianity around the world. But why should Nepal become a secular country by destroying its religion, culture and tradition and to tilt towards foreign country ? What kind of freedom is this? Nepal is the established place of Hinduism and Buddhism and they are trying to destroy this by starting religious, ethnic, communal war and strike in the name of federalism.
The Maoist, in the name of transforming the country into ‘New Nepal’ tried to destroy our culture and traditions. The Maoist ministers had cut down the budgets of such festivals. The Maoist ministers have shown the same tipe of reluctance while marking other festivals which has been continued in the Nepali society for 1400 years. During the Indra Jatra festival ,the Newar community was agitated when they were faced with the budget cut for marking the festival. The Maoist leaders were seen reluctant in preserving our own indentity. The Maoist leaders were going to undermine the value of Lord Pashupatinath and our culture Dashain & Tihar and the Maoist leaders and Prime Minister Prachanda had violated our traditional dress for official functions which demonstrate Nepalese identity.
Now, the Maoist PM has resigned from the regime. If we want to understand about him- Maoist leader Parchanda is a very flexible and incumbent Prime minister. Maoist leader Parchanda is saying- ‘I have resigned from the post of prime minister for the protection of democracy and peace’. But it is not true. The reality is that from the very beginning we have been studying the activities of Maoists that they are going to establish anarchism by money and guns constitutes the essence of power. Maoists wanted and want to destroy the system of the court as well as the norms of national Army for the interest of India. To dismiss Gen Rookmangud Katawal is the grand-design of Maoist to establish one-party anarchism. Actually, the Maoist are harboring anarchy by violating democratic norms and attacking state institutions on all fronts. In such condition if Madav Nepal (the Indian agent) will be the PM, then, actual civil war will start in Nepal. New Delhi has already embraced him as an ethinic Indian in way it never has any Nepali politician
So, we Nepalese people are very anxious seeing the bad condition of the country. Even though, I hope there is an outlet to the country’s crises only on the condition that there would be continuity of monarchy, announcement of Hinduism instead of secularism and no compromise against Nepali as the national language. Iraq never saw a peace day after monarchy was abolished in 1958 and later when a person like Saddam Hussein came to power. Afghanistan has fallen into civil war since monarchy was finished off in 1973. Millions of people have been killed. Nepal’s situation is more complicated than that of Afghanistan and this country cannot survive by displacing monarchy. The most serious danger Nepal is facing is its break up and disintegration and the only solution is to bring together the nationalist forces including the monarchy.

Mr. Dirgha Raj Prasai’s writing is worth keeping in mind. If we follow this, Nepal will be out of danger.
Bishal Shah
Dirgha Raj Prasai’s supporting monarchy and hindu nation is baseless. He is just the royal agent. He wants to destroy Maoists. It is nothing more than a conspiracy to divide Maoists and other parties. Bishal Shah’s accepting Dirgha Raj Prasai’s option makes clear that the Monarchists are trying to create bad image of the communists. We will not allow anyone to speak against us. This Nepali Rajniti, Dirgha Raj and Bishal Shah is trying to finish communism and establish Monarchy in Nepal. It will never happen. We will finish all of you very soon. We will establish people’s republic.
Devendra Basnet,
Security Committee, UCPN (Maoist)
It’s not about Dirgha Raj Prasai. It’s about Nepal. We’ve seen all kinds of leadership in this country. Everyone is inapt. However, comparision shows that Monarchism is the best one, but still I was not satisfied. Simple example that I want to express here. There was only one University in Nepal except Mahendra Samskrit University during the time of direct kingship. Our kings travelled and saw the world and the education system. One of the then king even attended one of the best universities of the world. But he did not take any initiative to improve education system of Nepal. The product of TU was unable to get admission. TU Bachelor’s degree cannot be compared to other US Bachelor’s degree. What a BDAMBANA.
Conclusion- Nepal needs a very partiot government, which I’ve not seen until now. But let us hope for the best.
Dear Mr. Debendra Basnet jee !
After reading your comment about Mr. Dirgha Raj Prasai I am very anxious. Why you are not going to understant the reality of Nepal? I know Dirgha Raj Prasai who is one of the greatest nationalistic-political analyst in Nepal. I have read his strong opinions & articles all over the world’s Newsletters & online. He is not the agent of King, but, he wants to save the country. He says- without monarchy Nepal can’t save. Once, he had wtitten as a suggestion to Maoists which I read in online- It would be relevant if the Maoists move ahead by expressing commitment to the guideline of late Chinese leader and namesake of the CPN-Maoist on a sovereign Nepal and the integrity of one-China principle. Although Nepal and India are near geographically and culturally Nepal has been facing threat since the Mugal times. But Nepal has not faced any kind of threat from China since communism was established there. China’s leader Mao Ze Dong used to say even when communism was at its height in China that ‘China was in favour of monarchy in Nepal as its sovereignty is safe only because of monarchy’. Mao used to have total faith on Nepal’s monarchy as he understood it very well that Nepalese communists even if they wear the façade of a revolutionary always run under the Indian design. China had understood it clearly that Nepal’s sovereignty is linked with monarchy. Therefore, there is no option for the Maoists too to accept this reality. The Maoist should be able to understand the gameplan of India and America to destroy China by using Nepal and for that they first want to weaken Nepal. In such a situation even if the king wants to abdicate all Nepalese should request Him to ascend the throne. The attempt to establish a republican state in Nepal is a Herculean task. So I request to Mr. Basnet to follow the reality of Nepal.
Please, don’t try to blame to nationalists.
In this comment- Mr. Bishal Shah & Zoro’s comments are praiseworthy.
Thank you.
Nita
