Federalism and secularism: Suicidal game

BY DIRGHA RAJ PRASAI
Secularism and federalism is not the issue of Nepal. In the context of Nepal, this will be a suicidal task. It will break the unity of the Nepalese people. Actually, federalism means feudalism which can’t give the solution for the lower castes and poor. Similarly, secularism also encourages religious terrorism. Due to secularism and federalism, the Constituent Assembly can’t do anything; it will only be a missile to destroy Nepal. The Maoist model of federalism which is based on ethnicity can disintegrate the country. Racial federalism can …

the King looks ready are the people ready???

In the above video, one can witness King Gyanendra saying that if the people want the Monarchy can be reinstated. Prachanda was also recorded saying that the master has been missing and it the peoples duty to find the master. All of these come to a conclusion that the country does need the King, be it Gyanendra or the baby King. The political parties have done nothing for the nation rather than just disputing among themselves and fighting like cats and dogs to come to power. The million dollar question …

Child exploitation by the Maoists

The exploitation of children in Nepal has been a concern to the international community for a long time. What are all those organizations in Nepal working as NGO’s (non government organization) and INGO’s (international non government organizations) making tons of money doing at a time where kids who should be in school with books in their hands are fighting with weapons on the streets of Kathmandu as Maoists warriors. In the early days Nepal’s carpet industry crashed in the international market for using child labor to a limit where the …

Memory with the leader Sailaja Acharya

After the first general elections of 1991, all the girl members of the Nepal Student’s Union were taking part in the ‘Girl’s Conference’ in Kathmandu . As a President of the Janata Multiple Campus, Itahari, Sunsari, I also took part in the conference. Few of us were invited by Sialaja Didi. During …
