Nepal, hit by terrorism
A woman was arrested from New Baneshwor on Tuesday morning for the bomb attack at the Assumption Church in Lalitpur on May 23 where three people were killed. Speaking at a press conference in Nepal Police Club, DIG Kuber Rana said that Sita Shrestha Thapa, 27, a resident of Gyaneshowr, Kathamndu was arrested for her involvement in the blast. Thapa’s arrest happened after the injured Catholics, who are undergoing treatment, identified her as the culprit in the incident. Thapa was also present at the conference. Thapa admitted that she left a bag with a pressure cooker bomb in the Church premises while the morning prayers were underway. The Police is working on finding out the motivation as well as anyone who could be responsible and involved in the bomb attack. It is very unfortunate that once a peace country where the citizens lived in harmony has turned into a nation where security is at the minimum and the terrorist activities are becoming very common. These terrorists conducting such cowardly acts have to be punished. Thanks to the Maoists who have introduced terrorism in the country where the messenger of peace Lord Buddha was born.
