Maoists planning a state capture
It’s always calm before the storm and thats what it is with the Maoists now. They seem calm currently but in reality they are planning on how to capture the state power. Pushpa Kamal Dahal, the Maoists’ party chairman in his 19 page long political proposal presented at the Party Politburo (PB) meeting has stressed the need for formation of a National Government led by the Maoists’ party itself. The Maoists leadership discussed two possible alternatives: Formation of the Maoists’ Led National Government or Declare a Revolt sooner than later. To impose their dictatorship in the name of “people’s supremacy”, the Maoists are all set to capture power be it by advocating themselves as the peoples choice or by being their obvious self, “terrorists”. This particular breed of the communists do not believe in democracy nor do they want any kind of freedom for the people. Freedom of speech, freedom of press is their greatest enemy and anyone speaking against them will be taken physical action against and anyone writing against them will be terrorized. Recently held Maoist meeting in Kathmandu has emphasized on a revolt to get back to power and they believe they have played smart by planting the seed against the President which they plan to cash on. Even the resignation of Prachanda from the post of Prime Minister was only a gimmick to garner sympathy from the people cause regardless of him resigning or not Prachanda had to step down cause his coalition partners has already pulled out their support and he was in a situation to face motion of no confidence. This is stated based on the information received from various reliable sources that the Maoists had all of this planned ahead of time and is an act put up only to fool the people. Mohan Vaidya Pokharel, a very influential person among the Maoists is now pushing hard the issue of yet another revolt with the decision makers of his party. It has also been learned that he is proposing a totally different agenda than of Prachanda which is likely to be passed by the party central members. The terror packed agency of the Maoists , the YCL is strongly demanding the party to forget the peace process and get into action to capture state power. Political pundits have also been heard saying that the Maoists are somewhat divided in two fractions, one headed by Prachanda and the other unofficially headed by Vaidya which has a stronger hold in the party and is proposing a capture of state power by revolt. Baburam Bhattarai and Hisila Yami, who recently criticized Prachanda are confused as to which fraction to morally support. Sneaky as his personality, Bhattarai is believed to have been for a revolt and is with the Vaidya fraction. While all other political parties are busy fighting to secure ministries for themselves, which has taken so long for the UML lead government by Madhav Kumar Nepal to give the government a final shape, the Maoists are already planning to capture the state by act of terrorism which they are experts at and have been that over a prolonged period of over a decade. Preliminary actions for a revolt through acts of terrorism has already begun by the YCL, where they have been involved in bandhs (shut downs) and strikes in the capitol making life of the people miserable and the party is supporting the YCL move by suggesting them to give continuation to the same. The Maoists earlier too tried to capture the state but did not work in their favor cause the Nepal Army acted as a patriotic institution and did not go with the Maoist flow, instead took a stance for the best interest of the nation. Army Chief Mr. Katawal was a problem for the Maoists for not giving it in and since he is retiring soon, the Maoists are waiting for his retirement to again attempt the same penetration in the Nepal Army with a different approach to a different chief. If for some reason the Nepal Army falls prey to the Maoists then there is no stopping to a state capture and a Maoist dictatorship for a long time to go. It is also understood that other political parties are not going to do anything against the Maoist intention cause they are themselves responsible for bringing the Maoists into limelight from the jungles making them from a underground terrorist outfit to a publicly surfaced terrorist organization. Secondly, since the Maoists are out of government all the other parties are busy scavenging to get a piece of the pie in the government. Is Nepal ever going to be peaceful as it once used to be or are the Nepalese people going to face a hardcore communist dictatorship is the major concern at a time where the Maoists are planning a state capture.
