Nepali Congress unofficially broke after Nepali Congress Vice President Mr. Ram Chandra Poudel, close associate of Girija Prasad Koirala decided to contest for the Parliamentary Party leader election against Koirala’s choice. Mr. Poudel was upset and really did not like Koirala’s decision to promote Sujata Koirala, which lead to some differences between the two. Mr. Poudel was a senior leader in the party and was also in high raking party command who hoped to lead the party in the government headed by Madhav Kumar Nepal, which was washed away by the greed of the power hungry Girija who promoted his inexperienced and arrogant daughter instead. No matter how much Koirala and his daughter Sujata openly opposed Poudel’s candidacy, he still won but this incident has definitely brought a crack in the party unofficial though.
