Buddha was born in Nepal, not in India

On page 154 in the book, The post-American World Dr. Zakaria mentions incorrectly that though Buddha was an Indian and Buddhism was born in India, there are no true Buddhists in that country. Before anything lets talk about some facts related to Buddha’s birthplace. Kapilavastu is the name of a region of ancient Shakya kingdom that is considered a holy pilgrimage place for Buddhists, located close to Lumbini. The result of years of excavation and research by numerous international teams have concluded that Kapilavastu is in Nepal and is acknowledged …

We have no alternatives left but to take up arms again…Prachanda

“We have no alternatives left but to take up arms again,” are the exact words that came out of Prachanda in Khalanga of Salyan district on Sunday. Someone who believes in change with the barrel of a gun over dialogue is definitely not right and one who believes in ruling with a gun is a terrorist. With such definition what is Prachanda trying to prove when he says, “take up arms again”. Planning to go back to the jungles gain? The country has already been pushed behind and the people …

Presenting a report in the Security Council about the progress on the peace process, Ban said major disagreements that have brought the peace process close to a standstill remain unsolved, increasing the risk of its collapse. Prachanda says….he lacks security

The biggest joke of the decade is, Prachanda saying, that he is not safe in Nepal. Does this not sound like a joke? The guy who is provided security from the government as well as his terrorist organization says that he lacks security. If Prachanda is not secured then who is secured in Nepal? Logically, he is supposed to be under threat, cause he heads the biggest terrorist organization in the country but in reality, he is the most secured person in the country. Prachanda jee please stop making such …

Maoists, still living by jungle rule

UCPN (Maoist) activists, as part of their fourth phase struggle for the establishment of civilian supremacy and national sovereignty, torched copies of treaties signed with India, in various parts of the country on Thursday. Demanding annulment of unequal treaties signed with India, the Maoists burned copies of Koshi, Mahakali and the Peace and Friendship treaties in Sunsari, Nuwakot and Sindhuli districts. They shouted slogans against foreign intervention and demanded that national sovereignty be maintained. This is a very sensitive issue which has to be addressed with caution and in a …

Ignorant as they always are….

Nepal’s last King Gyanendra Shah came across the Communist leader Jhal Nath Khanal at the VIP lounge of Tribhuwan International Airport. When face to face ex-King Gyanendra in all his smiles greeted and asked Khanal “Is everything all right”? The ignorant as they all are, Khanal totally dumb folded preferred not to reply. The communist leader just shook his head as if he was telling the former king that everything was “well and fine” with him. It’s a matter of common sense that you greet anyone who greets …

Nobel Prize is for Nepalese Traitor- Girija ?

BY DIRGHA RAJ PRASAI
It is not a Joke that the non-starter pro-Indian Council of Nepalese ministry decided to nominate for Nobel Peace Prize to Girija who is one of the culprit leaders of Nepali Congress. Everybody knows Girija is one of the traitors in Nepal. A scholar Bishal Shah says from UNN, USA, 25 Dec.2009- ‘It is unfortunate that the Government of Nepal under Madhav Kumar Nepal decided to forward GP Koirala’s name for the Nobel Peace Award. We had a different plan that is sending someone’s name from the people’s …
