Maoists, still living by jungle rule
UCPN (Maoist) activists, as part of their fourth phase struggle for the establishment of civilian supremacy and national sovereignty, torched copies of treaties signed with India, in various parts of the country on Thursday. Demanding annulment of unequal treaties signed with India, the Maoists burned copies of Koshi, Mahakali and the Peace and Friendship treaties in Sunsari, Nuwakot and Sindhuli districts. They shouted slogans against foreign intervention and demanded that national sovereignty be maintained. This is a very sensitive issue which has to be addressed with caution and in a proper manner as it concerns the national security of the country. The Maoists who have been terrorizing the nation and the people are still living by the jungle rule and are now trying to resolve issues with neighbors with the same attitude. Before anything, the Maoists have to be civilized first or else they are going to make matters even worse for the nation.
