Brahmanbad, intellectualism and culturalism

By: DIRGHA RAJ PRASAI
The creation of civilization is Brahmanbad. Brahmanbad is guided by intellectualism and culturalism. The origin of human civilization is Himabatkhand of Nepal. The Himabatkhand covers the land of Brahmaputra in east, Hindukush in west, Kailash Mansarobar in north and Ganga River in south. In past, Nepal was greater than what it is today. This region is the origin of Bedas, Upanishads, Purans and Nitishastra. As the region has been irrigated by Himalaya borne rivers, several saints of different ethnicity have enriched it through spirituality and knowledge.

Disrespect to Nepali language, literature and Nepali speaking people

by: Bishal Shah
The International Nepali Literary Society (INLS) Convention which was held in New York on August 15, 2009, with or without intention made Nepali language speaking people feel disrespected. In spite of the efforts are on the way to cover up the disrespect shown by the INLS to Nepali language, literature and Nepali language speaking people, the blunders cannot be corrected unless sincerely accepting the weaknesses and offering an apology. It was neither historical nor grand. Let me put some of the blunders made by the INLS and the Convention …

Hinduism is the foundation of civilization

BY DIRGHA RAJ PRASAI
Among all religions of the world, Hindu religion is considered as an ancient religion that is recognized as the foundation of civilization and as the most liberal democratic way of life. Hinduism & Buddhism are the identities & cultural assets of Nepal. The Lord Pashupathinath, Shoyambhunath, Lumbini, Barahachetra, Gosaikunda, Muktinath, Ridi, Janakidham, Devghat of Nepal, Kailash Mansharobar of Tibet (well accessed for Nepalese and Hindus), and Tirupati, Rameshroram, Jagannath, Badrinath, Amarnath of India are the symbolic shrines of Hinduism & Buddhism. Royal Palace Massacre in Nepal -2001

by: DIRGHA RAJ PRASAI
South Asia is in turmoil that India is taking the policy of aggressive intervention against the surrounding countries like Nepal, Bangaladesh, Srilanka and Pakistan. The task to destabilize the countries has been assigned to the notorious intelligence agency, RAW. A scholar Dr. Shreen M Mazari says “In Nepal, India has been intervening in the politics of Hindu Kingdom by promoting pro-Indians politicians”. Indian government is making difficult for Nepal to assert her sovereignty. Indian intelligence service Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) has been fomenting violent deterioration in …

People need to choose: Anarchy or Monarchy

by: Bishal Shah
The frustration, fear and pessimism replaced all characteristics of contemporary Nepal . The big rhetoric prior to the imposition of the Republic in order to pacify the growing frustrations flared after the government of Girija Prasad Koirala led government of 2006, failed to match the people’s expectation, the anarchy is reaching its peak. Neither the Maoist Pushpa Kamal Dahal led government did anything to lessen the pain of the people nor election defeated plus CA appointed PM Madhav Nepal could be expected to deliver the best for the …

Dark period of Nepal 2005-2009 (Deteriorating Scenario )

BY DIRGHA RAJ PRASAI
Nepalese democratic exercise faced the black period in between 2005-2009. During the period, Nepalese people tolerated the worst political practice made by corrupt leaders. The nation achieved the climaxed height of the lawlessness, theft, robbery, ransom and murders. The corruption is out of control. Nobody is responsible to control the corruption. A corrupt tendency has been institutionalizing as a system. Several constitutional authorities including the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) and the administrative mechanism have been paralyzed. The security forces themselves remain demoralized. …

Monarchy is the most convincing identity in Nepal

BY DIRGHA RAJ PRASAI
After the movement (I) of 1990, Nepal became dirty playground of foreigners. The movement (II) of 2006 was not for democracy but for making Nepal confused and failed state. The so-called leaders of Congress, UML, and Maoists were never clear whether the movement was for improvement of parliamentary democracy or for communism. The leaders are so confused. They sometimes unite and sometimes quarrel for nothing. Unhealthy alliances run in similar way. Due to their notorious activities, the corrupted leaders of so-called big party leaders are being trapped …
